Most of us believe that life is full of pain and sorrow. Yes, it is because life is never a straight path.
The water we get to drink, to irrigation the fields etc has to flow from the higher reaches of the mountains. If there's no glacier or no rains water will not exist. Hence there will be droughts and lamentation everywhere in the land. Hence, people will suffer badly.
So, life is good and bad.
