DONT SUPPORT BAD ACTIONS...

A long time ago in the Animal Kingdom, a sheep saw a lion trapped in a cage, crying for help. The lion begged the sheep to set him free, promising not to harm or eat

the sheep. But the sheep didn’t trust the lion and refused at first. Finally, after much convincing, the sheep opened the cage because he believed the lion’s promise.

But the lion was very hungry from being in the cage for days. As soon as he was free, he lunged at the sheep to eat him. The sheep reminded the lion about his promise not to kill him. Just then, other animals came along and stopped to watch. Both the lion and the sheep told their stories, but because they were afraid and wanted to please the lion, most animals sided with him. Only the Tortoise didn’t take a side and pretended not to understand the situation.

The Tortoise then asked the lion to show where he had been before the rescue. The lion pointed to the cage. The Tortoise asked, “Were you inside or outside the cage when the sheep came to help you?” The lion admitted he was inside. The Tortoise then said, “Okay, now go back inside the cage and let’s see how hard it really is.” Then, the Tortoise locked the lion back inside the cage.

The other animals were shocked and asked the Tortoise why he did that. The Tortoise replied, “If we let the lion eat the sheep today, he would still be hungry tomorrow—and we don’t know who the next victim could be.”

Moral of the story:

Don’t support bad actions just because they don’t affect you directly. Tomorrow, it could be your turn.

“What is worth doing, is worth doing well.”
