SIMPLE WAYS TO STAY HEALTHY

Regular Physical Activity: For at least 150 minutes each week, engage in moderate-intensity aerobic activities such as walking, running, swimming, or cycling. Include strength training activities as well to improve muscle strength and flexibility.

Maintain a nutritious and balanced diet that includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Reduce your intake of processed foods, sugary snacks, and beverages.

Hydration: To keep your body hydrated, drink plenty of water throughout the day. The basic suggestion is to drink at least 8 glasses of water (64 ounces) every day.

Sleep Enough: Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep per night. Create a sleep environment that is conducive to sleep and prioritize sleep hygiene practices.

Stress Reduction: Engage in stress-relieving activities such as deep breathing exercises, meditation, yoga, or hobbies and pastimes that bring you joy and relaxation. If necessary, seek help from friends, family, or professionals.

Regular Health Check-ups: Make an appointment with a healthcare expert for routine check-ups and screenings to monitor your overall health, spot potential issues early, and receive appropriate preventative care.

Prioritize your mental health by engaging in activities that enhance mental health, obtaining therapy or counseling as needed, practicing mindfulness, and maintaining healthy relationships.

Limit Sedentary Behaviour: Reduce your time spent sitting or doing sedentary activities. Take short breaks to stretch or walk around, and make physical activity a part of your regular routine.

Limit or eliminate the use of tobacco, excessive alcohol use, and recreational drugs. These compounds might be hazardous to your health.

Social Connections: Maintain strong social connections and a support system. Spend time with loved ones, join in community activities, and engage in meaningful social connections.
