Why does Swami Vivekananda say that the temple worship methods in Hinduism is the kindergarden stage and there are many ways to praise God?
Swami Vivekananda is quite correct that the most common worship methods seen and practiced by most Hindus at most temples are at a very basic beginning stage. It is just a simple service to the masses, to help them make and maintain some connection with the Divine. If you study under a Guru, or even under a well-trained temple priest to learn more advanced practices of Sadhana and Upasana, it goes far beyond just basic Puja, Arati, etc.
