SMILE...305 (Employment Offer For A Wife )

Every employee knows and understands the value of an Employment Contract, probation, appraisal, increment etc. Salary, facilities and perks play a significant role for an employee. Suppose a person is offered a post in a company where no contract is signed and the employee is unaware of his salary, perks, rights and duties, etc; and everything is left for the discretion of the employer, will any employee be willing to take up such an employment?

In a majority of marriages, women are literally employed rather than being life-partners. The terms and conditions under which they are forced to live and compromise are more difficult than that of an employee in a company. If an employee should find difficulty in compromising with the companys environment or terms and conditions of the employment contract, he has the opportunity to resign and join another company. However, this is not easy in a marital contract.

A Pre-Marital Contract can promote clarity and understanding between the spouses and the families concerned and help in addressing many concerns and issues that arise post-marriage. The following specimen is an effort to highlight the same.
