The universe is still expanding, the cosmic microwave background is still there, and the Big Bang theory is still the model which explains them best.
They are currently refining the bit between the recombination era (380,000 years after the bang) and the reionisation era (half a billion years after the bang) – this era is commonly called the “dark ages of the universe” – partially because of findings of the JWST.
And they are still looking for a way to combine quantum field theory and general relativity into a Theory of Everything, so that they can explore the first trillionth of a trillionth of a trillionth of a second.
This is normal in science: when you get new data, you revise the models, and rarely throw them into the bin, quietly or not. But if you throw them into the bin, like the discovery of dark energy did a quarter of a century ago, you can expect a ticket to Stockholm in December, at least a share of a million bucks, and a gold medal from a King.
