MOTIVATION.....5

1.    Soldier: Sir we are surrounded from all sides by enemies,
Major: Excellent! We can attack in any direction.

When to Use: This is an excellent two-liner on being positive even in the face of adversity. Sometimes the work or the environment looks very bleak to us and we may not see any hope. We might be tempted to give up. The only way we can turn around the situation is by motivating ourselves to look at some of the positives that could result from the situation. Use this in a Self Development, Personality Development and Motivation session when talking about ‘How to manage self under Adversity or Difficult situation’.

2.    “Nobody can make you feel inferior, without your permission.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

When to Use: Our self esteem is in our hands. If I get affected by what someone says or does; I let myself be controlled by that person. If I don’t get affected, then I remain in control of what I intend to do. Use this quotation in Assertiveness, Managerial Development, Giving and Receiving Feedback, Self Development programs. This message is powerful when talking about ‘How do we handle criticism, challenges and put-downs by others’.
