GREAT LESSONS FROM SWAMI VIVEKANANDA ( Lesson - 8 )

LOVE LETTER......6

A Desi chap was deeply in love with a pretty foreign girl, whom he wanted. But he did not have the courage to talk to her in person. So he decided to go alone and with the help of a dictionary, he wrote a letter of proposal to her.

HE WROTE :

Most worthy of your estimation
after a long consideration
and much mediation.
I have a strong indication
to become your relation.
As to my educational qualification,
it is no exaggeration or fabrication
that I have passed my matriculation examination;
no doubt without any hesitation and very little preparation.
What do you say to the solemnization
of our marriage celebration
according to the glorification of modern civilization
and with a view to the expansion of the population of present generation.

On your approbation of the application,
I shall make preparation to improve my situation,
and if such obligation is worthy of consideration
it will be our argumentation of the joy and
exaltation of our joint dissimilation.

Thanking you in anticipation and with devotion,
To remain victim of your fascination.

SHE WROTE :

Dear Mr. Victim of my fascination,

Congratulation for your lengthy narration
of course full of affection aimed at an affiliation
for a combination which on examination
I find is a fine presentation of your ambition.

You have passed your matriculation with little preparation,
what about my graduation after a long botheration,
so improve situation in education
and make an application by acquisition
of post graduation and minimum qualification
for the convocation and before taking your photo for circulation
undergo beautification.
Further strict observation of the following conditions is the
regulation for the determination of our relation.

1. Consultation of my parents before approaching for my connection.

2. Communication of your confirmation that you are not a victim of any fascination

3. Procreation must not be your recreation.

In anticipation of a solid action instead of continuation of paper conversation.

I Remain,

Unaffected by your affection.

GREAT LESSONS FROM SWAMI VIVEKANANDA ( Lesson - 7 )

CARRY ON....

Carry On

At times when you feel troubled
When your happiness is gone
Look to the heart within you
for the strength to carry on

In your heart you will find special virtues
Such as faith and hope and love
These gifts have been sent down to you
from a Power up above

It is faith that keeps the soul searching
for the joy the heart hopes for .
It is love that heals the spirit
making it stronger than before.

And if your heart be broken
if your strength should fade away
the power of these virtues
will still win out the day

So remember when you're troubled
when your happiness is gone
look to the heart within you
for the strength to Carry on

GREAT LESSONS FROM SWAMI VIVEKANANDA ( Lesson - 4 )

STORY WITH MORAL....101

One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name.
Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down.
It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers.
That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each student on a separate sheet of paper, and listed what everyone else had said about that individual.
On Monday she gave each student his or her list. Before long, the entire class was smiling. 'Really?' she heard whispered. 'I never knew that I meant anything to anyone!' and, 'I didn't know others liked me so much,' were most of the comments.
No one ever mentioned those papers in class again. She never knew if they discussed them after class or with their parents, but it didn't matter. The exercise had accomplished its purpose. The students were happy with themselves and one another. That group of students moved on.
Several years later, one of the students was killed in
Vietnam and his teacher attended the funeral of that special student. She had never seen a serviceman in a military coffin before. He looked so handsome, so mature.
The church was packed with his friends. One by one those who loved him took a last walk by the coffin. The teacher was the last one to bless the coffin.
As she stood there, one of the soldiers who acted as pallbearer came up to her. 'Were you Mark's math teacher?' he asked. She nodded: 'yes.' Then he said: 'Mark talked about you a lot.'
After the funeral, most of Mark's former classmates went together to a luncheon. Mark's mother and father were there, obviously waiting to speak with his teacher.
'We want to show you something,' his father said, taking a wallet out of his pocket 'They found this on Mark when he was killed. We thought you might recognize it.'
Opening the billfold, he carefully removed two worn pieces of notebook paper that had obviously been taped, folded and refolded many times. The teacher knew without looking that the papers were the ones on which she had listed all the good things each of Mark's classmates had said about him.
'Thank you so much for doing that,' Mark's mother said. 'As you can see, Mark treasured it.'
All of Mark's former classmates started to gather around. Charlie smiled rather sheepishly and said, 'I still have my list. It's in the top drawer of my desk at home.'
Chuck's wife said, 'Chuck asked me to put his in our wedding album.'
'I have mine too,' Marilyn said. 'It's in my diary'. Then Vicki, another classmate, reached into her pocketbook, took out her wallet and showed her worn and frazzled list to the group. 'I carry this with me at all times,' Vicki said and without batting an eyelash, she continued: 'I think we all saved our lists'
That's when the teacher finally sat down and cried. She cried for Mark and for all his friends who would never see him again.
The density of people in society is so thick that we forget that life will end one day. And we don't know when that one day will be.
So please, tell the people you love and care for, that they are special and important. Tell them, before it is too late. And One Way To Accomplish This Is: Forward this message on. If you do not send it, you will have, once again passed up the wonderful opportunity to do something nice and beautiful.
If you've received this, it is because someone cares for you and it means there is probably at least someone for whom you care.
If you're 'too busy' to take those few minutes right now to forward this message on, would this be the VERY first time you didn't do that little thing that would make a difference in your relationships?

Remember, you reap what you sow. What you put into the lives of others comes back into your own.

BEAUTY TIPS

Below is a wonderful poem Audrey Hepburn wrote when asked to share her 'beauty tips.'

It was read at her funeral years later.
For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.
People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.

Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.

ART OF GROWING UP

 11 tips to learn

The word “UP” has a vital role to play in our daily life and also in our personality development.

1. Get up: Early in the morning with the determination to make most of your day, useful and also meaningful.

2. Stand up: To your problems and difficulties. Face them and lick them.

3. Think up: Keep your thoughts high, clean, clear and truthful.

4. Brace up: Tighten your belt and keep moving forward even when the going gets rough.

5. Climb up: The ladder of success reaches upward rung by rung, but you have to/must do the climbing.

6. Stretch out your hand: Remember that he climbs highest, who helps another up.

7. Measure up: Meet the challenge of the times by doing your full share for the common good.

8. Bounce up: when you fell down. Every one falls and falls now and then; quitters just lie there. Heroes have to bounce.

9. Live up: To the highest and best, the moral rules and spiritual principles you know.

10. Look up: Consider and observe a tree, how it lifts its branches to the sky. The only way to grow is to look up.

11. Hope up: You know it very well that, “Hope is life’’. So never get despair.

The golden word are, “Enthusiasm is oxygen to life and have plenty of enthusiastic living’’.

GREAT LESSONS FROM SWAMI VIVEKANANDA ( Lesson - 1 )

5 Habits Of Success

Mastering The 5 Habits Of Success

by: Saleem Rana

The difference between success and failure is based on behavior. Successful people adopt certain behaviors that help them move in the direction that they desire. Unsuccessful people do not adopt a specific behavior set and tend to drift through life.

Here are a few success habits that I have noticed used by successful people. Building these habits into your nervous system will help you to achieve success

1. Keeping things neat, clean, and organized.

When there is dirt, clutter, and chaos, confusion develops. Not only do you spend time looking for things or sorting through things, you also have to deal with the frustration of forgetting to do important tasks. Order is essential to progress.

2. Taking action.

The action that is taken is actually threefold. It is first, mental action. Seeing, feeling, and believing in the goal. The second action, preparation. This is a time for study, practice, or researching what needs to be done. And the third action, is, of course, physical. Here the goal is acted upon directly because there is a clear vision, understanding of implementation, and the will to take effort.

3. Placing priorities.

Since time and energy are limited, a huge goal list often means that not a single one will be done. The best way to make rapid progress is to break the list into four essential goals. Once these are achieved, you can work on the next four on your huge list. Often people desiring to change every aspect of their lives take on too much, with the result that they quickly become overwhelmed and then tend to drop everything.

4. Seeking mutual victory.

The idea of competition is not often a healthy one. Cooperation is a much higher ideal. The win-lose dynamics may be fine for sports, but, in real life, things are often too complex to gain much from dominance. A win-win arrangement is preferable.

5. Understanding and empathy.

When we understand where someone is coming from, it's much easier to create rapport and harmony and come to a win-win outcome. Often we try to impress upon others our view before understanding what is happening with them. Assumptions are usually erroneous and only lead to failure for everyone concerned.

These are just a few habit traits which if you adopt will make your life easier.

Of course, you have to tailor everything according to what works for you. But the main thing is to become aware that success is not an accident, but a way of acting with conscious, willful intent.

Success is not some elusive experience. It's simply a question of implementing the right mindset.

POSTER OF THIS WEEK

STORY WITH MORAL ...100

 THE  TEA  CUP

There was a couple who used to go to England to shop in the beautiful stores. They both liked antiques and pottery and especially teacups. This was their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary.

One day in this beautiful shop they saw a beautiful teacup. They said, "May we see that? We've never seen one quite so beautiful."

As the lady handed it to them, suddenly the teacup spoke. "You don't understand," it said. "I haven't always been a teacup.

There was a time when I was red and I was clay. My master took me and rolled me and patted me over and over and I yelled out, "let me alone", but he only smiled, "Not yet."

"Then I was placed on a spinning wheel," the teacup said, "and suddenly I was spun around and around and around.Stop it! I'm getting dizzy! I screamed. But the master only nodded and said, 'Not yet.'

Then he put me in the oven. I never felt such heat. I wondered why he wanted to burn me, and I yelled and knocked at the door. I could see him through the opening and I could read his lips as He shook his head, 'Not yet.'

Finally the door opened, he put me on the shelf, and I began to cool. 'There, that's better,' I said. And he brushed and painted me all over. The fumes were horrible. I thought I would gag. 'Stop it, stop it!' I cried. He only nodded, 'Not yet.'

Then suddenly he put me back into the oven, not like the first one. This was twice as hot and I knew I would suffocate. I begged. I pleaded. I screamed. I cried. All the time I could see him through the opening nodding his head saying, 'Not yet.'

Then I knew there wasn't any hope. I would never make it. I was ready to give up. But the door opened and he took me out and placed me on the shelf. One hour later he handed me a mirror and said, 'Look at yourself. And I did. I said, 'That's not me; that couldn't be me. It's beautiful. I'm beautiful.'

'I want you to remember, then,' he said, 'I know it hurts to be rolled and patted, but if I had left you alone, you'd have dried up.

I know it made you dizzy to spin around on the wheel, but if I had stopped, you would have crumbled. I knew it hurt and was hot and disagreeable in the oven, but if I hadn't put you there, you would have cracked.

I know the fumes were bad when I brushed and painted you all over, but if I hadn't done that, you never would have hardened; you would not have had any color in your life. And if I hadn't put you back in that second oven, you wouldn't survive for very long because the hardness would not have held. Now you are a finished product. You are what I had in mind when I first began with you.

MORAL
God knows what He's doing (for all of us). He is the Potter, and we are His clay. He will mold us and make us, so that we may be made into a flawless piece of work to fulfill His good, pleasing, and perfect will.

WEEKEND WISDOM

STORY WITH MORAL.....99

Once There Was A Farmer Who Discovered That He Had Lost His Watch In The Store. It Was No Ordinary Watch Because It Had Sentimental Value For Him.

After Searching High And Low Among The Feed For A Long While, He Gave Up And Asked The Help Of A Group Of Children Playing Outside The Store.

He Promised Them That The Person Who Found It Would Be Rewarded.

Hearing This, The Children Hurried Inside The Store, Went Through And Around The Entire Store, But Still Could Not Find The Watch. Just When The Farmer Was About To Give Up Looking For His Watch, A Little Boy Went Up To Him And Asked To Be Given Another Chance.

The Farmer Looked At Him And Thought, “Why Not? After All, This Kid Looks Sincere Enough.”

So The Farmer Sent The Little Boy Back In The Store. After A While The Little Boy Came Out With The Watch In His Hand! The Farmer Was Both Happy And Surprised And So He Asked The Boy How He Succeeded Where The Rest Had Failed.

The Boy Replied, “I Did Nothing But Sit On The Ground And Listen. In The Silence, I Heard The Ticking Of The Watch And Just Looked For It In That Direction.”

MORAL OF THE STORY:

A Peaceful Mind Can Think Better Than A Worked Up Mind. Allow A Few Minutes Of Silence To Your Mind Every Day, And See, How Sharply It Helps You To Set Your Life The Way You Expect It To Be!

Peace Of Mind Produce Right Value,
Right Values Produce Right Thoughts,
Right Thoughts Produce Right Action,
And Right Action Always End With Right And Fruitful Results.
Stay Calm, Be Happy And Keep Smiling.

STORY WITH MORAL......98

One day, an old umbrella-mender was working on a broken and torn umbrella. He seemed to take unusual pains testing the cloth, carefully measuring and strongly sewing the covers.

An old woman who was looking at his involvement remarked, “You are unusually careful”.

“Yes,” the man said without looking up, “I try to do good work”.

But the woman said, “Your customers will not know the difference until you are gone. Perhaps you expect to come back this way again someday”.

“No, I shall probably not come back,” he said.

“Then why are you so particular?” said the woman

He said, “So that it will be easier for the person who follows me. If I put shoddy cloth or do bad work, my customers will find it out in a few weeks and the next old umbrella- mender will get a cold shoulder”.

Moral of the story: in our all walks of life, we do leave a distinct trail when we move forward and the more favorable trail we leave behind, that better for the person who follows us at a later point of time. When a person who mends simple umbrellas can be so meticulous, why not we, especially those of us at the front end of the Business?

The Things That Drive A Sane Person Mad
You have to try on a pair of sunglasses with that stupid little plastic thing in the middle of them.

The person behind you in the supermarket runs his cart into the back of your ankle.

The elevator stops on every floor and nobody gets on.

There’s always a car riding your tail when you’re slowing down to find an address.

You open a can of soup and the lid falls in.

There’s a dog in the neighborhood that barks at EVERYTHING.

You can never put anything back in a box the way it came.

Your tire gauge lets out half the air while you’re trying to get a reading.

A station comes in brilliantly when you’re standing near the radio but buzzes, drifts and spits every time you move away.

There are always one or two ice cubes that won’t pop out of the tray.

You wash a garment with a tissue in the pocket and your entire laundry comes out covered with lint.

The car behind you blasts its horn because you let a pedestrian finish crossing.

A piece of foil candy wrapper makes electrical contact with your filling (or braces).

You set the alarm on your digital clock for 7pm instead of 7am.

The radio station doesn’t tell you who sang that song.

You rub on hand cream and can’t turn the bathroom doorknob to get out.

People behind you on a supermarket line dash ahead of you to a counter just opening up.

Your glasses slide off your ears when you perspire.

You can’t look up the correct spelling of a word in the dictionary because you don’t know how to spell it.

You have to inform five different sales people in the same store that you’re just browsing.

You had that pen in your hand only a second ago and now you can’t find it.

You reach under the table to pick something off the floor and smash your head on the way up.
