FAILURE

Nine Things About Failure

1.To fail is not the same as being a failure.
One may have many failings and yet still be far from being a failure.

2.To fail is not the disgrace everyone thinks it is.
To err is to do nothing more than to join the human race.

3.Failure is only a temporary setback.

4.Failure is never the final chapter of the book of your life unless you give up and quit.

5.Nothing worthwhile is ever achieved without running the risk of failure.
The person who risks everything to try to achieve something truly worthwhile and fails is anything but a disgraceful failure.

6.Failure is a natural preparation for, success.
Strange as it may seem to some of you, success is much more difficult to live with successfully than is failure.

7.Every failing brings with it the possibilities of something greater.
Analyze failure under whatever circumstances you choose, and you will discover some seeds for turning failure into success.

8.What you do with failures in your life is up to you.
Failure is either a blessing or a curse, depending upon the individual reaction or response to it.

9.Failings are opportunities to learn how to do things better the next time and to learn where the pitfalls are and how to avoid them.

The best possible thing to do with failure is to learn all you can from it.

KINDNESS...2

Shri Guru Govind singh was going somewhere with his troop.
Suddenly a stone came quickly from nowhere and hit his head.
A little line of blood appeared on the temple of Sri Govind Singh.

His soldiers immediately went around finding the culprit. Very soon they came back with a destitute, lean and thin lady. The lady was trembling with fear.

When she was brought in front of Shri Govind Singh, she said," O my lord, please forgive me for this grave offence. My bad luck is following me everywhere. My three kids were dying of hunger as we didn't get anything to eat for past three days. To save the life of my children, I thought of picking some fruits form the nearby garden. As I threw stone to get the fruit from the tree, the stone instead of hitting the fruit, came and hit your temple."

Hearing her plight the heart of Sri Guru Govind Singh melted with compassion and he ordered his men to give 1000 coins and nice food items to the lady.

Everyone was astonished, including the poor lady. Then one of the confidants asked Guru Govind singh for the reason of this prize.

Sri Guru Govind Singh answered," Even a dumb, immovable tree gives fruits on throwing stones. Why should I not help the needy for I am far better and well off than that tree?"

WEEKEND WISDOM

Oh, God, forgive me when I whine

Today, in the bus, I saw a girl with golden hair

I looked at her and sighed and wished I was as fair.

When suddenly she rose to leave,

I saw her hobble down the aisle.

She had one leg and used a crutch.

But as she passed, she passed a smile.

Oh, God, forgive me when I whine

I have 2 legs, the world is mine.

I stopped to buy some candy.

The lad who sold it had such charm.

I talked with him a while, he seemed so very glad.

If I were late, it'd do no harm.

And as I left, he said to me,

"I thank you, you've been so kind.

It's nice to talk with folks like you.

You see," he said, "I'm blind."

Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.

I have 2 eyes, the world is mine.

Later while walking down the street,

I saw a child with eyes of blue

He stood and watched the others play

He did not know what to do.

I stopped a moment and then I said,

"Why don't you join the others, dear?"

He looked ahead without a word.

And then I knew, he couldn't hear.

Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.

I have 2 ears, the world is mine.

With feet to take me where I'd go.

With eyes to see the sunset's glow.

With ears to hear what I would know.

Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.

I've been blessed indeed, The world is mine.

If this poem makes you feel like I felt,

just forward it to all your friends,

after all, it's just a simple reminder....

We have soooooo much to be thankful for!!!

"Be thankful that you don't already

have everything you desire,

If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don't know something,

For it gives you the opportunity to learn."

"Be thankful for your mistakes.

They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you're tired and weary,

Because it means you've made a difference."

So, KEEP SMILING and have a great day!!!

KINDNESS...1

- a lengthy story from an unknown writer

I was walking around in a Big Bazar store while shopping, when I saw a Cashier talking to a boy who couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old.

The Cashier said, "I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll."

Then the little boy turned to me and asked: "Aunty, are you sure I don't have enough money?"

I counted his cash and replied, "You know that you don't have enough money to buy the doll, my dear."

The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.

Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him whom he wished to give this doll to.

"It's the doll that my Sister loved most and wanted so much. I wanted to Gift her for her BIRTHDAY. I have to give the doll to my Mommy so that she can give it to my Sister when she goes there."

His eyes were so sad while saying this.

"My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my Sister."

My heart nearly stopped.

The little boy looked up at me and said, "I told Daddy to tell Mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall."

Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing.

He then told me, "I want Mommy to take my picture with her so my Sister won't forget me. I love my Mommy and I wish she didn't have to leave me, but Daddy says that she has to go to be with my little Sister."

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy, "Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll?"

"OK" he said, "I hope I do have enough."

I added some of my money to his, without him seeing, and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.

The little boy said, "Thank you God for giving me enough money!"

Then he looked at me and added, "I asked last night, before I went to sleep, for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that Mommy could give It to my Sister. He heard me!"

"I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my Mommy, but I didn't dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose. My Mommy loves white roses."

I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started.

I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind. Then I remembered a local newspaper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl.

The little girl died right away, and the young woman was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.

Was this the family of the little boy?

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the newspaper that the young woman had passed away. I couldn't stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.

She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.

I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed forever.

The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.

Life is made up, not of great sacrifices or duties, but of little things, in which smiles and kindness, and small obligations given habitually, are what preserve the heart and secure comfort.

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.

Goodness is about character - integrity, honesty, kindness, generosity, moral courage, and the like. More than anything else, it is about how we treat other people.

Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them, and they bless you, the giver.

That best portion of a man's life, his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.

A tree is known by its fruit; a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost; he who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.

So begin today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again.

MIDWEEK INSPIRATION

One day a man,Tom was sitting inside his room watching his beautiful gard, which he is caring for years...with lots of beautiful flowers and butterflies flying inside...

Suddenly a man with big boots entered the beautiful garden, and began to walk through it destroying the flowers and plants....all the butterflies flew away....
Seeing this Tom got angry and rushed to the scene
caught him on his collar and pulled back...
He fell down...Now only Tom could realize that the man is blind...
He was dong all these things without seeing its beauty...

This is the case with all of us...
So let us forgive all who destroys our beautiful gardens of life,career,relationships.........
hoping that they are blind enough to realize its beauty!!!!!!!

and

 also dont destroy others gardens!!!!

MOTHER....1

A man stopped at a flower shop to order some flowers to be wired to his mother who lived two hundred miles away.

As he got out of his car he noticed a young girl sitting on the curb sobbing. He asked her what was wrong and she replied, "I wanted to buy a red rose for my mother. But I only have seventy-five cents, and a rose costs two dollars."

The man smiled and said,

"Come on in with me.. I'll buy you a rose."

He bought the little girl her rose and ordered his own mother's flowers. As they were leaving he offered the girl a ride home.

She said, "Yes, please! You can take me to my mother." She directed him to a cemetery, where she placed the rose on a freshly dug grave.

The man returned to the flower shop, cancelled the wire order, picked up a bouquet and drove the two hundred miles to his mother's house.

Mother is always a blessing, motivation and inspiration to all those who are having mother. and my advice is to please respect and love her if she is with you then you are lucky and try to make her happy and smiling and take her blessing this is one of the best gift in this life and here after..

FLOWER

The Most Beautiful Flower

The park bench was deserted as I sat down to read

Beneath the long, straggly branches of an old willow tree.

Disillusioned by life with good reason to frown,

For the world was intent on dragging me down.

And if that weren't enough to ruin my day,

A young boy out of breath approached me, all tired from play

He stood right before me with his head tilted down

And said with great excitement, "Look what I found!"

In his hand was a flower, and what a pitiful sight,

With its petals all worn - not enough rain, or too little light.

Wanting him to take his dead flower and go off to play,

I faked a small smile and then shifted away.

But instead of retreating he sat next to my side

And placed the flower to his nose

And declared with overacted surprise,

It sure smells pretty and it's beautiful, too.

That's why I picked it; here, it's for you."

The weed before me was dying or dead.

Not vibrant of colors: orange, yellow or red.

But I knew I must take it, or he might never leave.

So I reached for the flower, and replied, "Just what I need."

but instead of him placing the flower in my hand,

He held it mid-air without reason or plan.

It was then that I noticed for the very first time

That weed-toting boy could not see: he was blind.

I heard my voice quiver; tears shone in the sun

As I thanked him for picking the very best one.

You're welcome," he smiled, and then ran off to play,

Unaware of the impact he'd had on my day.

I sat there and wondered how he managed to see

A self-pitying woman beneath an old willow tree.

How did he know of my self-indulged plight?

Perhaps from his heart, he'd been blessed with true sight.

Through the eyes of a blind child, at last I could see

The problem was not with the world; the problem was me.

And for all of those times I myself had been blind,

I vowed to see the beauty in life, And appreciate every second that's mine.

And then I held that wilted flower up to my nose

And breathed in the fragrance of a beautiful rose

And smiled as I watched that young boy,

Another weed in his hand,

About to change the life of an unsuspecting old man.

POSTER OF THIS WEEK

PATRICIA NARAYAN

Chennai
SILICON INDIA NEWS
JUNE 2010

There were many hurdles on Patricia Narayan's way to become an entrepreneur. She has overcome all the hurdles and has bagged this year's 'FICCI Women Entrepreneur of the Year.' Now she is the owner of 'Sandeepha' brand of restaurant chain.

She started her career 30 years ago as an entrepreneur, selling eateries from a mobile cart on the Marina beach amidst all troubles - battling a failed marriage, coping with her husband, a multiple addict, and taking care of two kids, as reported by Shobha Warrier.

Patricia never thought of becoming an entrepreneur, it was all accidental. She was always passionate about cooking and crazy about trying out new dishes.

"But my marriage changed everything. Both the families opposed the marriage vehemently as my husband belonged to the Brahmin community; unfortunately my marriage did not work out as my husband was addicted to alcohol, drugs, etc. I could not bring him out of the addiction. As a young woman, I did not know how to cope with this and I was getting beaten up everyday," recalls Patricia.

Her father forgave her and gave refuge when shehad nowhere to go. She was thrown out with two very small children. It was a question of survival for her and she decided to fight all the obstacles. She started making pickles, squashes and jams at home with a couple of hundred rupees that she took from her mother. She sold everything in one day and that gave her confidence in her way to become an entrepreneur. It gave her more income and she started investing more to make more pickles, squashes and jams.

Patricia's father's friend, who was running a school for handicapped children, was handing out mobile carts or kiosks to people who would employ at least two handicapped people. They needed somebody who could run it and I was offered one such cart free. She had to train the handicapped children to make coffee and serve them to customers.

"As I lived near the Marina beach, I decided to put the mobile cart at the Anna Square on the Marina beach. I had seen people thronging the beach in the evenings. But I had to make umpteen trips to the Public Works Department and wait for one year to get the permission," recalled Patricia.

"While such carts sold only tea and cigarettes, I decided to sell cutlets, samosas, bajjis, fresh juice and coffee and tea. On the first day, June 21, 1982, I sold only one cup of coffee and that was for fifty paise," she recalled.

MYTHS ABOUT WATER

Water is an amazing substance - we can't live without it and in fact we are mostly made of it.

So it is not surprising that a whole bunch of half-truths and myths exist about water, especially when it comes to your health.

So here are our top 5 myths about water.

Myth 1: We should drink 8 glasses of water a day to avoid dehydration

Probably one of the most widely-believed yet false beliefs about water -no doubt encouraged by bottled water brands.
It's true that our bodies need a fair amount of water every day.According to the British Dietetic Association, most of us need the equivalent of around six to eight glasses of fluid a day, fluid not water. Much of this can be obtained from the food we eat - fruit and vegeatables are 80-90 per cent water by weight - and other drinks including milk, tea and coffee.
Obviously in hotter, sweatier conditions we need to up our intake to make up for the extra loss, but again, any non-alcoholic drink will suffice. Your body is also very good at regulating its water levels - it will get rid of excess by sweat and urine and when levels are low you will feel thirsty and compelled to drink.

Myth 2: Coffee, tea and other beverages "dehydrate" you

While it is true that caffeine has a diuretic effect (it makes you want to pee) this is very mild compared with the amount of water contained in the drink. So as explained above these drinks will contribute to your body's need for water.

Myth 3: Water is harmless (apart from drowning!)

Generally speaking water is a non-toxic substance.
But it is possible to drink too much water. In extreme cases drinking too much water can cause an electrolyte imbalance
in the body, known as "water intoxication." Athletes in extreme sports such as marathon runners have been know to suffer from this condition. Their sport causes them to sweat profusely, leading to a loss of both water and electrolytes,
including sodium. But if they drink a lot of water in a short period of time without replacing the lost electrolytes,
sodium levels in the blood fall, which can be potentially life-threatening.

750 வதுpost ஐ கொண்டாடும் விதமாக மழையில் டூயட்

Myth 4: Bottled water is safer that tap water

Would you drink a liquid containing chemicals that may have been exposed to pesticides, man-made fertilisers and even radioactive materials and destroys the environment?
Then you will probably be happy to pay 1,500 times the going rate to drink water from a plastic bottle.
Tap water is subject to stringent health and safety requirements. It is continuously tested and safe to drink. Bottled waters often come from exactly the same sources as tap water - in fact some are tap water. Much bottled water is prepared with lower safety standards than tap water, and it consumes vast resources to bottle, ship, market and sell it. That's why it costs around 1,500 times more per drink than tap water, which is safe, cheap, convenient and by the far the most eco-friendly way to get water.

Myth 5: Water can help you lose weight

Actually there is some truth is this idea. But only some.
Going back to myth 1, drinking calorie-free and sugar-free water is a better way to get your daily fluid intake than gulping back sugary, high-calorie soft drinks. And some studies have shown that if you drink a pint of water before a meal it can help you eat less. But the key point here is that you do in fact need to eat less - the water itself does not in any way reduce your body fat.

நீ யார் என்பது முக்கியமல்ல;
உனது மனது எதை விரும்புகிறதோ,
அது நிச்சயம் உன்னை வந்து சேரும்.”
