PRAYER....10

What's In Your Sponge?

There are 5 sponges laying on your kitchen counter top. Each member of your family has been cleaning up different areas of your home, but all the sponges look the same. You are curious as to what was cleaned in your home, but you can't tell by looking...they all look the same....so what do you do?

You squeeze each sponge to see what comes out. As you squeeze the first sponge, you see that cola comes out, and so you decide that someone cleaned the kitchen with that one. Upon squeezing the second sponge, you find tub and tile cleaner - that one was used to clean the bathroom.

Next, in the third sponge, you find motor oil -- hubby was cleaning the garage!

In the fourth sponge, baby powder puffs out when it is squeezed -- yep, the baby's nursery was done with that one!

And finally, in the last one, is floor wax -- that was the one you used on the hall floor!

As you lay the last one down, you look again at their similarity - and they all look the same until they're squeezed.

We the humans are the same way. As life squeezes us, different things come out - anger from one, a need for revenge from another, tears from one, remorse from yet another - also greed, untruth, lust - and finally, from one saint, pours forth the love of God.

Just like the sponge, we can only squeeze out what is put in - stay in the Word daily, and be in continuous prayer, so that when life puts the squeeze on you (and it WILL), GOD ALONE will shine forth from you!

Have a blessed, squeaky clean day!

10 Commandments Of Peace. - Daily Work N0 10

10. Do Not Procrastinate And Never Regret.

Do not waste time in protracted wondering "Should I or shouldn't I?" Days, weeks, months, and years may be wasted in that futile mentaldebating. You can never plan enough because you can never anticipate all future happenings. Always remember, God has His own plan, too for you.
Value your time and do the things that need to be done. It does notmatter if you fail the first time. You can learn from your mistakes and succeed the next time. Sitting back and worrying will lead to nothing. Learn from your mistakes, but do not brood over the past. DO NOT REGRET.

Whatever happened was destined to happen only that way.

Take it as the Will of God. You do not have the power to alter the course of God's Will.

Why cry over spilt milk?

10 Commandments Of Peace. - Daily Work N0 9

9. Never Leave The Mind Vacant.

An empty mind is the devil's workshop. All evil actions start in the vacant mind. Keep your mind occupied in something positive, something worthwhile. Actively follow a hobby. Do something that holds your interest. You must decide what you value more: money or peace of mind.Your hobby, like social work or temple work, may not always earn you more money, but you will have a sense of fulfillment and achievement. Even
when you are resting physically, occupy yourself in healthy reading ormental chanting of God's name.

The Maths of Life!

Smart man + smart woman = romance
Smart man + dumb woman = preganancy
Dumb man + smart woman = affair

Smart boss + smart employee =profit
Smart boss + dumb employee = production
Dumb boss + smart employee = promotion

A man will pay 2$ for a 1$ item that he needs.
A woman will pay 1$ for a 2$ item that she doesn't need.
A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband.
A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.
A sucessful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend.
A successful woman is one who can find such a man.
To be happy with a man, you must understand him a lot and love him a little.
To be happy with a woman, you must love her a lot and not try to understand her at all.
Married men live longer than single men, but married men are a lot more willing to die.
Any married man should forget his mistakes; there's no use in two people remembering the same thing.
Men wake up as good-looking as they went to bed.
Women somehow deteriorate during the night.
A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't.
A man marries a woman expecting she won't change, and she does

10 Commandments Of Peace. - Daily Work N0 8

8. Meditate Regularly

Meditation calms the mind and gets rid of disturbing thoughts. This is the highest state of peace of mind. Try and experience it yourself. If you meditate earnestly for half an hour everyday, your mind will tend to become peaceful during the remaining twenty-three and half-hours. Your mind will not be easily disturbed as it was before. You would benefit by gradually increasing the period of daily mediation. You may think thatthis will interfere with your daily work. On the contrary, this will increase your efficiency and you will be able to produce better results in less time.

10 Commandments Of Peace. - Daily Work N0 7

7. Do Not Bite Off More Than You Can Chew.

This maxim needs to be remembered constantly. We often tend to take more responsibilities than we are capable of carrying out. This is done to satisfy our ego. Know your limitations. Why take on additional loads that may create more worries? You cannot gain peace of mind by expanding your external activities. Reduce your material engagements and spend time in
prayer, introspection and meditation. This will reduce those thoughts in your mind that make you restless. Uncluttered mind will produce greater peace of mind.

TIPS FOR PERSONAL EXCELLENCE

We all are always in hurry and not able to judge our self. This creates the problem and frustration within us. Life is as simple as you can live it. All depends on us and nobody is responsible to make our life miserable and frustrated.

All the problem begins from our mind and our approach towards our life. Below are given some tips to improve your life to make it better and more beautiful.

1.Treat everyday as your last day. Once you adopt this kind of approach you will definitely do the best things in the day to remember you as a very good human being. Promise yourself as you are going to make this day a great day.

2.Plan your day at the morning and stick with it. Every single moments counts from your life.

3.Keep a very positive frame of mind and accept everything in a positive note and believe that every happening whether it is good or bad comes under your way because of GOD wish.

4.Repeat the sentence five time in the morning,  I am more than I appear to be, the world power and strengths rest inside me.” You feel the energy within you and it will keep you self motivated.

5.Recall your whole day in night and focus on those issues where you need to improve yourself and congrats yourself where you done the best.

6.Do your work at your best potential and treat every work comes in your way because you have the caliber and potential to do the work. That why it came to you.

7.Respect yourself and go to the mirror and say some positive words to you. It will give you a new kind of energy.

8.Learn from every criticism and failure because these are not for cracking you but these are there to improve you. These are lesson for the life.

9.Set the targets for you and divide your goals into four categories – Personal goals, professional goals , spiritual goals and health goals. Note down all your goals, read them once in the morning and read once again at the night. After some time, your all activities automatically align with your goals.

At last but not the least, You will always remember by your deeds and behavior.

Apply these rules in your life.

KARMA THEORY

How does Karma settlement happen in Lord Krishna's life?

Krishna spent many years in Dwaraka, with the Yadavas. But gradually the Yadavas grew arrogant and wicked. They began to insult the sages. They began to think that they were unequalled in strength and that no one could check them.

Once they went to a holy place called Prabhasa. They enjoyed themselves and also drank heavily. They began to quarrel among themselves. They drew out their swords. Krishna watched them and thought that they were going to become a menace to people, and that they were inviting their own destruction. True, they were all his relatives, and he had grown up in their midst. Krishna had no attachment which would blind him to the truth. The protection of peace and Dharma was paramount.

He thought that the Yadavas should perish in their internal quarrels. He made no attempt to save them. They fought among themselves and almost all the Yadavas lay dead.

The mission of Krishna's life had been achieved. The evil were destroyed and the good protected. Krishna decided to leave the world. He sent messengers to bring the Pandavas. Sitting under a tree he began deep meditation and soon forgot the rest of the world.

A hunter came that way. He saw Krishna's foot from a distance and mistook him for a deer. He shot an arrow. The arrow entered Krishna's foot. The hunter ran to the spot and saw what had happened. He was shocked.

Hunter asked for a apology and Krishna comforted the hunter stating the following:

"In my last birth as Lord Rama I killed a vanara standing behind a tree and hitting an Arrow at the vanra (Vali). I reap for what I did in my past birth. I should set as an example to others:

- I Know that a bad act of mine will get back to me.

At the same I was a eka pathini virathan in my previous life devoted to my wife sita. But it so happened I was blessed with 16,000 gopikas around me in the current birth as Krishna.

So don't regret for what you did. It is this way I need to leave this body and I accept it. "

5. Change Yourself According To The Environment.

If you try to change the environment single-handedly, the chances are you will fail. Instead, change yourself to suit your environment. As you do this, even the environment, which has been unfriendly to you, will mysteriously change and seem congenial and harmonious.

4. Do Not Be Jealous.

We all have experienced how jealousy can disturb our peace of mind. You know that you work harder than your colleagues in the office, but sometimes they get promotions; you do not. You started a business several years ago, but you are not as successful as your neighbor whose business is only one year old. There are several examples like these in everyday life. Should you be jealous? No. Remember everybody's life is shaped by his or her previous Karma, which has now become his destiny. If you are destined to be rich, nothing in the world can stop you. If you are not so destined, no one can help you either. Nothing will be gained by blaming others for your misfortune. Jealousy will not get you anywhere; it will only take away your peace of mind.

MOTIVATION

A Motivational Poem
(Taken from Dr Bharath Chandras success digest)

To those of you who have pushed me, thank you.

Without you I would have fallen.

To those of you who laughed at me, thank you.

Without you I would not have cried.

To those of you who just could not love me, thank you.

Without you I would not have known real love.

To those of you who hurt my feelings, thank you.

Without you I would not have felt them.

To those of you who left me lonely, thank you.

Without you I would not have discovered myself.

But it is to those of you who thought that I could not do it:

It is you I thank the most,

Because without you I would not have tried.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY 21 JUNE

The United Nations has adopted 21 June as the International Yoga Day (IYD) thanks to the efforts taken by India. Throughout the world this year the IYD is planned to be celebrated on a grand scale. Yoga is one of the many gifts that India has presented to the world and it is heartening to see that it has taken a special slot in a calendar year internationally.

While the benefits of Yoga are too well known to be described, let us look at the symbol of IYD and its significance.

YOUR WORTH...

Do Not Undermine Your Worth

                                                                                               - Neva Thorp
Do not undermine your worth
by comparing yourself with others.
It is because we are different
that each of us is special.

Do not set your goals
by what other people deem important.
Only you know
what is best for you.

Do not take for granted
the things closest to your heart.
Cling to them as you would your life,
for without them,
life is meaningless.

Do not let your life
slip through your fingers
by living in the past
nor for the future.
By living your life one day at a time,
you live all the days of your life.

Do not give up
when you still have something to give.
Nothing is really over
until the moment you stop trying.
It is a fragile thread
that binds us to each other.

Do not be afraid to encounter risks.
It is by taking chances
that we learn how to be brave.

Do not shut love out of your life
by saying it is impossible to find.

The quickest way to receive love
is to give love;
The fastest way to lose love
is to hold it too tightly.

Do not dismiss your dreams.
To be without dreams
is to be without hope;
To be without hope
is to be without purpose.

Do not run through life
so fast that you forget
not only where you have been,
but also where you are going.

Life is not a race,
but a journey
to be savored
each step of the way.

10 Commandments Of Peace. - Daily Work N0 3

3. Do Not Crave For Recognition.

This world is full of selfish people. They seldom praise anybody without selfish motives. They may praise you today because you are in power, but no sooner than you are powerless, they will forget your achievement and will start finding faults in you. Why do you wish to kill yourself in striving for their recognition? Their recognition is not worth the aggravation. Do your duties ethically and sincerely and leave the rest to God.

10 Commandments Of Peace. - Daily Work N0 2

2. Forgive And Forget.

This is the most powerful aid to peace of mind. We often develop illfeelings inside our heart for the person who insults us or harms us. We nurture grievances. This in turn results in loss of sleep, development of stomach ulcers, and high blood pressure. This insult or injury was doneonce, but nourishing of grievance goes on forever by constantly remembering it. Get over this bad habit. Believe in the justice of God and the doctrine of Karma. Let Him judge the act of the one who insulted you. Life is too short to waste in such trifles. Forgive, Forget, and march on. Love flourishes in giving and forgiving.

10 Commandments Of Peace. - Daily Work N0 1

1. Do Not Interfere In Others' Business Unless Asked.

Most of us create our own problems by interfering too often in others' affairs. We do so because somehow we have convinced ourselves that our way is the best way, our logic is the perfect logic and those who do notconform to our thinking must be criticized and steered to the right direction, our direction. This thinking denies the existence of individuality and consequently the existence of God. God has created each one of us in a unique way. No two human beings can think or act in exactly
the same way. All men or women act the way they do because God within them prompts them that way. There is God to look after everything. Why are youbothered? Mind your own business and you will keep Your peace.

STORY WITH MORAL....105

When U look at me, what do U see

A fable from the East tells of an emperor and a zen monk who came face to face for the first time.

The emperor ruled over a kingdom that practiced Buddhism and the monk was eager to meet with him, looking forward to sharing tales of enlightenment.

But when they met, the emperor decided to test the monk by saying to him:
“When you look at me, what do you see?”

“I see a Buddha,” answered the monk. And what do you see when you look at me?”

“I see a pig!” countered the emperor. Waiting to see the monk’s reaction, he said no more.

The monk pondered for a moment, then said:

“A Buddha sees a Buddha; a pig sees a pig!”

WEEKEND WISDOM

“The first to apologize is the bravest. The first to forgive is the strongest. The first to forget is the happiest.”

Here is a refreshing post for all:

Believe in your dreams!

A winner is neither made nor finished in one try

This holds true except under one circumstance. That is as long as we don't give up or never try. I am reminded of situation after situation where persistence has won out. My friend, there is no rule that says we have to already be an expert before moving towards our dreams.

Life will show us the way towards achievement if we only allow ourselves to remain focused on that which we want to see manifest in our lives.

Believe in the power of your dreams even if no one else does because when you make them a reality it won't matter who doubted you.
