 நல்லாற்றுப் படும் நெறி

 ஒரு மரத்தில் அணில் ஒன்று தாவி விளையாடிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் போது தவறி கீழே நின்ற ஒநாயின் மீது விழுந்தது. ஓநாய்  அதைத் தன் வாயில் கவ்வி சாப்பிட முயற்சிக்கும்போது, தன்னை விட்டு விடுமாறு அணில் கேட்டது. அப்போது ஓநாய் ,''நான் கேட்கும் கேள்விக்கு சரியான பதிலை சொன்னால் உன்னை விட்டு விடுகிறேன்,''என்றது.

அணிலும்,''உன் பிடியில் நான் இருந்தால் எப்படி பதில் சொல்ல முடியும்?''என்று கேட்கவே ஓநாயும்  பிடியைத் தளர்த்தியது.உடனே மரத்தில் தாவி ஏறிய அணில், 

''இப்போது உன் கேள்வியைக் கேள்,''என்றது. 

ஓநாய் கேட்டது,''உன்னை விட நான் பலசாலி. ஆனால் என்னைவிட மகிழ்ச்சியாக மரத்தில் எப்போதும் ஓடியாடி விளையாடிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறாயே! இது எப்படி சாத்தியம்?''

அணில் சொன்னது,''நீ எப்போதும் கொடிய செயல்களையே செய்கிறாய். அதுவே உன் மனதை உறுத்திக் கொண்டே இருக்கிறது அதனால் உன்னால் மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருக்க முடியவில்லை. ஆனால் நான்  எப்போதும் யாருக்கும் எந்தத் தீங்கும் விளைவிப்பதில்லை. மரங்களில் தானாகப் பழுத்த பழங்களை  மட்டுமே சாப்பிடுகிறேன். அதனால் என் மனதில் எப்போதும் கவலையில்லை.'' என்றது.

     இந்தக் கதையில் அணில் ஓநாயிடம்,  "உதவி செய்யவில்லை என்றாலும் பரவாயில்லை; உபத்திரவம் பண்ணாதே' என்று சொல்கிறது. இதே அறிவுரையை யாராவது உங்களிடம் சொல்லியிருப்பார்கள், இல்லாவிட்டால் நீங்களாவது யாரிடமாவது கூறியிருப்பீர்கள். இந்த சிந்தனை இன்று நேற்று தோன்றியதல்ல. சங்ககாலத்திலேயே இப்படியொரு பாடல் உண்டு.

நரிவெரூஉத் தலையார்

பிணம் தின்னும் நரியே கண்டால் வெருவி(அஞ்சி) ஓடும் வண்ணம் இப் புலவரின் தலை இருந்ததாம். சேரமான் கருவூர் ஏறிய ஒள்வாள் கோப் பெருஞ்சேரல் என்னும் அரசனைக் கண்டவுடன் இந்த வெறுக்கத்தக்க தலையின் தோற்றம் மாறிவிடும் என்று அவருக்குக் கூறியிருந்தனராம். அவ்வாறே இந்தப் புலவர் அந்தச் சேர அரசனைக் கண்டவுடன் வெறுக்கத் தக்க அவரது தலைத்தோற்றம் மாறி நல்லுடம்பு வரப்பெற்றாராம். இவ்வாறு புறநானூறு ஐந்தாம் பாடலுக்கு   குறிப்பு தெரிவிக்கிறது.

Happy Rules to Life 

ONE.  Give   people more than they expect and do it   cheerfully.   

TWO.   Marry  a man/woman  you love to talk to. As you get  older,  their conversational skills will be as   important as any other.  

THREE.  Don't   believe all you hear, spend all you have  or  sleep all you want.  

FOUR.   When  you say, 'I love  you,' mean   it.  

FIVE.   When  you say, 'I'm  sorry,' look the person in the  eye.  

SIX.  Be   engaged at least six months before you get   married.

  

SEVEN.  Believe   in love at first   sight.   

EIGHT.  Never   laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't  have  dreams don't have much.   

NINE...   Love  deeply and  passionately. You might get hurt but  it's  the only way to live life completely.   

TEN..   In  disagreements,  fight fairly. No name calling.   

ELEVEN.   Don't   judge people by their   relatives.   

TWELVE.   Talk  slowly but think   quickly.   

THIRTEEN.  When  someone asks  you a question you don't want to  answer,  smile and ask, 'Why do you want to  know?'  

FOURTEEN.   Remember  that great  love and great achievements involve  great  risk. 

FIFTEEN.   Say  'bless you' when  you hear someone sneeze.   

SIXTEEN.   When  you lose, don't  lose the   lesson.   

SEVENTEEN.   Remember  the three  R's: Respect for self; Respect for  others;  and Responsibility for all your actions.

Time Will Come 

New York is 3 hrs ahead of California but it does not mean that California is slow, or that New York is fast. Both are  working based on their own "Time Zone."

Some one is still single. Someone got married and 'waited' 10 yrs before having a child, there is another who had a baby within a year of marriage.

Someone graduated at the age of 22, yet waited 5 years before securing a good job; and there is another who graduated at 27 and secured employment immediately !

Someone became CEO at 25 and died at 50 while another became a CEO at 50 and lived to 90 years.

Everyone works based on their 'Time Zone',

People can have things worked out only according to their pace.
Work in your "time zone".

Your Colleagues, friends, younger ones might "seem" to go ahead of you.
May be some might "seem" behind you.

Don't envy them or mock them, it's their 'Time Zone.'
You are in yours!

இருந்தாக கூறப்பாடுகிறது.அவை மூன்று வகையாகப் பிரிக்கப்பட்டு உள்ளது.அவை

முதற்சங்கம்,இடைச்சங்கம், கடைச்சங்கம் ஆகும்.

முதற் சங்க காலம்

 அக்காலத்தில் 549 புலவர்கள் இருந்தனர்.அகத்தியர் ,சிவபெருமான்,முருக
வேல் போன்றோர் பாடல்களைப் பாடியதாகவும்,பெரும் பரிபாடல்,முதுநாரை
,முது குருகு,அகத்தியம் போன்ற நூல்கள் இயற்றப்பட்டதாகவும் கூறப்படுகிறது.

இடைச் சங்க காலம்

 அக்காலத்தில் 59 புலவர்கள் இருந்தனர்.அக்காலத்தில் அகத்தியமும்
தொல்காப்பியமும் அடிப்படை நூலாக இருந்ததாக கருதப்படுகிறது.கபாடபுரம் தான்
நூல்களை ஆய்வு செய்யும் கூடமாக இருந்தது. 


கடைச் சங்க காலம்

 கடைச்சங்க காலம் என்பது இன்றைய மதுரை.அதில் 49 புலவர்கள்
இருந்தனர்.அதில் ,நக்கீனார் தலைமைப் புலவராக இருந்தாககவும்
கூறுகிறார்கள்.1090 ஆண்டுகள் உத்திர மதுரை ஆய்வுக்கூடமாக
விளங்கியது.

A Smile a Day Keeps Sadness Away

What makes you happy? A question answered more than 45 years ago by our beloved founding father his highness sheikh Zayed bin sultan alnayhan. He demonstrated the answer practically by creating the happiest, most tolerant nation on this planet, United Arab Emirates.

After thousands of research in the field of happiness, no agreement has reached yet to define it. It is a concept that reshapes itself and assume different colors in every society. However, there are some common principles that when adhering to them helps us to live a meaningfully positive life.

Health is one principle. Whether eating wisely, moving regularly or sleeping peacefully, being healthy allows the body cells to renew quickly and inject positive energy to the mind. The mental positive energy works like a cushion that protects the individual during moments of hardship especially in the workplace where a daily dose of positivity is crucial to spread happiness among all.

Another important principle is mindfulness. When was the last time you enjoyed a meal or a beautiful scene? Can you remember a work incident where you controlled your emotions and found a positive excuse for your colleague? Being mindful is the art of living the moment and recognizing our emotions. In many instances, we personalize the situation and assume the negative outcome. Rewiring the brain to wear the positive lens is one of the most difficult mental exercises but once mastered it create oasis of happiness and makes us positively contagious.

Why do we work? One of the most powerful happiness principles is the sense of purpose. It creates an ongoing momentum and refuels the mind with positivity. The challenge is to keep the "why" question positively alive before every work decision we make. We through blames on each other, give excuses, delay delivery, forgetting in the middle of all this that our ancestors shed their sweat answering the why and worked with passion despite all the obstacles.

However, the mother of all happiness principles is gratitude. A tool that makes every single breath you take a blessing. With the spread of social media, our comparison criteria shifted to what we do not have versus what others have. This created waves of anxiety, depression and envy both in personal and work life. Colleagues became distant and workplaces became cold. Practicing gratitude and counting what went well at the end of each day shall help equip the mind with resilience & fight the negativity of the comparison dilemma.

Using the above principles, we will charge our workplaces with positivity and fill our workers with happiness, and as his highness Sheikh Mohammed bn Rashid almaktoum said " in order to make your customers happy, you have to make your employees happy".

தமிழ்மொழியின் தொன்மை

தமிழ்மொழி மிக நீண்ட நெடிய வரலாற்றை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டது.உலகில் பல மொழிகள் தோன்றி வழங்கி மறைந்தொழிந்தன என மொழியியல் அறிஞர்கள் கருத்துத்துரைத்துள்ளனர்.

அவற்றுள் ஒரு சில மொழிகள் மட்டுமே இன்னும் அழியாமல் நிலைபெற்றுள்ளன. அவ்வாறு நிலைபெற்ற மொழிகளிலும் சில பேச்சு வழக்கு இழந்து வெறும் இலக்கிய மொழியாக மட்டுமே காட்சியளிக்கின்றன.

கால மாற்றத்திற்கேற்ப புத்தம்புது மொழிகளும் தோன்றி வளர்ந்து வருகின்றன. இவ்வாறு தோன்றி மாயும் மொழிகளுக்கிடையே, மிகப் பழங்காலத்திலேயே தோன்றி, செல்வாக்குடன் வளர்ந்து, இன்றளவும் வாழ்ந்து விளங்குவன தமிழ், சீனம் முதலிய சில மொழிகளேயாகும்.

தமிழ் மிகவும் பண்பட்ட மொழி. தனக்கே உரிய வலம் வாய்ந்த இலக்கியச் செல்வங்களைப் பெற்றிருக்கும் மொழி - மாக்ஸ் முல்லர்

பழமைக்கும் பழமையாய் இலக்கிய வளமுடையதாய் நிற்பதோடு புதுமைக்கும் புதுமையாய் கருத்துச் செல்வம் நிறைந்ததாய் என்றும் இளமைப் பொலிவுடன் விளங்குவது நமது தமிழ் மொழியாகும்.

‘மாடு கிழமானாலும் பால் புளிக்காது’ என்ற பழமொழியைக் கேள்விப்பட்டிருப்பீர்கள்தானே!.அப்பழமொழியின் பொருள்போல் தமிழ் எத்துணை பழமை வாய்ந்திடினும் இனிமை குன்றாத மொழியென்பதில் கிஞ்சிற்றும் ஐயமில்லை.

“தமிழ்” என்னும் சொல் முதன் முதலில் காணப்பெறும் நூல் தொல்காப்பியமாகும். “தமிழென் கிளவி”,”செந்தமிழ் நிலத்து” என வரும் நூற்பாத் தொடர்களில் இவ்வுண்மையைக் காணலாம். பனம்பாரனார்தம் தொல்காப்பியப் பாயிரத்தில் வரும் “தமிழ்கூறும் நல்லுலகத்து” எனும் தொடரும் தமிழின் தொன்மையைத் தெளிவாகக் காட்டுவனவாம். “தமிழ் வையைத் தண்ணம் புனல்” என எட்டுத்தொகை நூல்களில் ஒன்றாகிய பரிபாடல் தமிழின் இனிமையைக் கூறுகின்றது.

மொகஞ்சதரோவில் வாழ்ந்த மக்கள் பேசிய மொழியின் கூறுகள் தமிழில் காணப்படுகின்றன. அதனால் இப்போது உலகில் பேசப்படுகின்ர மிகவும் பழமையான மொழி தமிழ் மொழிதான். ஐரோப்பிய மொழிகளில் உள்ள சொற்கள் பலவற்றின் மூலங்கள் தமிழில் காணப்படுகின்றன.

மனித இனம் வாழவும் – வசிக்கவும் ஏற்புடைய நிலமாக விளங்கியது இன்றைய தமிழகத்தின் தென்நிலப்பரப்பு என்பது ஆய்வறிஞர்களின் கருத்தாகும். அந்தத் தென்நிலப்பரப்பிலே பேசப்பட்ட மொழியானது மிகத் தொன்மை வாய்ந்த நமது உயர்தனிச் செம்மொழி தமிழாகும் என்பது பன்னாட்டு மண்ணியல், உயிரியல், அறிவியலாளர் ஆய்வுகளின் வழி கிடைக்கப்பெற்ற ஒருமித்த உண்மைக் கருத்துகள்.

குமரிக்குத் தெற்கேயுள்ள நிலப்பகுதியே மக்கள் வாழ்வதற்குத் தக்க நிலையை அடைந்தது. அங்குதான் முதன் முதலில் மக்கள் தோன்றி வளர்ந்து நாகரிகத்தை உலகிற்குப் பரப்பினர்.

உலகிலேயே மொழிக்கென முதன் முதலாகத் தோற்றுவிக்கப்பட்டது தமிழ்ச் சங்கமே. தமிழ் மொழியின் வாழ்வுக்கும் உயர்வுக்கும் சிறப்பீட்டித் தந்த பெருமைக்கு உரியவர்கள் சேர,சோழ,பாண்டிய மன்னர்களே. தமிழினம் சிறப்புற்றிருக்கும் வகையில் தமிழைச் சீர்செய்யவும் வளப்படுத்தவும் அறிவுப்பூர்வமாகச் சிந்தித்து செயலாற்றியவர்கள் பாண்டிய மன்னர்களே என்று குறிப்பிட்டுச் சொல்லலாம்.

நான் முதன் முதலில் தமிழர்களிடத்தே எனது சமயத்தைப் பரப்புவதற்காகவே தமிழைப் படிக்கத் தொடங்கினேன். ஆனால் படிக்கத் தொடங்கும்போதே, அதன் இனிமையும் எளிமையும் என்னைப் பெரிதும் கவர்ந்துவிட்டது. உலகத்தின் தலைசிறந்த ஒரு மொழியைக் கற்கிறோம் என்ற உணர்வு ஏற்பட்டது. அன்றிலிருந்து தமிழைக் கற்பதிலும் தமிழ் இலக்கியங்களை ஆராய்ந்து அவற்றை ஆங்கிலத்தில் மொழி பெயர்த்து வெளியிடுவதிலுமே எனது வாழ்நாளைச் செலவிட்டேன்.

தமிழின் தொன்மையையும் இனிமையையும் அறிந்து அனுபவித்து மேலும் செழிப்புடையதாக்கவும் செம்மைப்படுத்தவும் கற்றறிந்த மேதைகளை ஒன்றிணைத்து மொழி ஆய்வு செய்யவும் அரும் பெரும் இலக்கியங்களை உருவாக்கவும் முதல் சங்கத்தைத் தோற்றுவித்தவன் காய்சினவழுதி என்ற பாண்டிய மன்னனாவான். காய்சினவழுதி முயற்சியால் விளைந்ததே முதற்சங்கம்.

குமரிக் கண்டத்திலே தோற்றுவிக்கப்பட்ட முதற்சங்கத்தின் காலம் ஏறத்தாழ பதின் மூன்றாயிரம் ஆண்டுகளாகும். நூற்றுக்கணக்கான புலவர்கள் தமிழ்த்தொண்டாற்றிய ஏறக்குறைய 4400 ஆண்டுகளாகத் தொடர்ந்து இருந்த இந்த தமிழ்ச் சங்கத்தை பாண்டிய மன்னர்கள் கண்ணும் கருத்துமாய் பேணி வளர்த்தனர். ‘கடுங்கோன்’ என்ற மன்னன் காலத்தில் ஏற்பட்ட ஆழிப் பேரலையால் முதற்சங்கம் அழிவுற்றது.

இடைச்சங்கம் வெண்டேர்ச்செழியன் என்ற பாண்டிய மன்னனால் கபாடபுரத்தில் தோற்றுவிக்கப்பட்டது. இடைச்சங்கம் 3700 ஆண்டுகள் இயங்கி வந்தது. மீண்டும் ஏற்பட்ட ஆழிப் பேரலையால் இடைச்சங்கமும் அழிவுற்றது.

சிலகாலங் கழிந்து முடத்திருமாறன் என்ற பாண்டிய மன்னனின் பெருமுயற்சியால் தமது தலைநகரான மதுரை நகர் எனப்படும் கூடல் மாநகரில் கடைச்சங்கம் தோற்றம் கண்டது. ஏறத்தாழ 1800 ஆண்டுகள் தொடர்ச்சியாக இயங்கிய இக்கடைச் சங்கமும் காலச்சூழ்நிலை காரணத்தால் மறைந்து போனது. மாணவர்களே! மொழிக்கெனச் சங்கம் வைத்து வளர்த்த மூத்த தமிழினத்தின் வரலாறு இப்படித்தான் முடிவுற்றது.

தமிழின் நிலைப்பாட்டிற்கு வழிகோலிய பாண்டிய மன்னர்களின் வீழ்ச்சிக்குப் பிறகு தமிழகத்தை களப்பிரர், பல்லவர், மராட்டியர், முகமதியர்கள், நாயக்கர்கள், பிரெஞ்சுக்காரர்கள், ஆங்கிலேயர்கள் என பல்லினத்தவர் ஆட்சி செலுத்தினர். அதிகார பீடத்திலிருந்தோரின் பண்பாடு, சமயம், மொழி ஆகியவற்றின் தாக்குறவால் தமிழ் இலக்கியத்திலும் பற்பல மாறுதல்கள் உருபெற்றன.

DO YOU KEEP PEOPLE HAPPY?

Keeping people happy is one of the signs of God's presence in your heart because spreading and ensuring happiness around you is the a human-nature-based instinct which is concretely linked with Universal principles of God.

Making people laugh for a short span of time is not to be considered as keeping them happy altogether because laughter is just a sub-set of happiness. You might make person giggle or feel good with by a joke, a sitcom, a nice instant comment but this feeling is for a very short span of time but keeping people happy for long terms is your real achievement because it indicates a permanent demonstration of your character trait for possessing high degree of care and love for others.

Below are some good assessment points for you in terms of people's behaviour towards you: 

1-    Do people, directly or indirectly, appreciate you for your kind words and deeds quite often?
2-   Do people keep in touch with you by sending text, emails, phone calls etc?
3-   Do people trust in you and discuss their personal problems with you to seek advice?
4-   Do people share their secrets because they consider you as a deep sea who would keep the secret? 
5-   Do people consider you as: 

a.    Soft-heart person?

b.    An empathic Listener?

c.    A helping hand? 

d.    A conflict solver?

6-   Do people learn new moral, social, financial or ethical lessons when they meet you? Do they consider you as a source of inspiration and positivity?

In case your answer to these questions is No then you need to work on things bringing happiness in their lives which will bring you one step closer to God's blessings. Again, remember the fact that keeping people happy is not about making them laugh it's basically triggering the long lasting feeling of contentment and tranquillity in someone's heart by your persistent loving and caring behaviour.
