THE FATE OF GOLDSMITH

Once the king of a country was roaming around in the villages to inquire about the well-being of his subjects.

While roaming around, the fringe of the gold button of his kurta broke. He asked his minister, which goldsmith is there in this village, who can make a new button for my kurta?
There was only one goldsmith in that village, who made all kinds of jewelry, he was taken in front of the king.
The king said, can you make a button for my kurta?
The goldsmith said, Sir, this is not a difficult task! He, looking at another button of the kurta, made a new one and fitted it in the king's kurta.
The king happily asked the goldsmith, how much should I pay?
The goldsmith said:- "Maharaj, let it be, it was a small job."
He thought in his mind, that the gold belonged to the king, he has only done labor and what wages do I have to take from the king...!
The king again said to the goldsmith, no-no, tell me how much should I pay?
The goldsmith thought, I will ask for two rupees. Then a thought came to his mind that the king might think that if he is charging me two rupees for making a button, then how much would he charge from the villagers, and someone might punish him because in those days two rupees was very valuable.
The goldsmith thought about it and said to the king:- "Maharaj, give whatever you wish."
Now the king was the king. He had to give according to his wish. His respect should not be tarnished in giving and he told his minister to give two villages to this goldsmith, this is our order.
Here Soni ji was thinking of asking for only two rupees, but the king gave him two villages.
Similarly, when we leave everything to God, then he gives according to his wish and when we ask, we only fall short in asking. We
do not know what the giver wants to give, but we ask for something insignificant in our status.
Saints and great men say that we don't even know how to ask, so surrender everything to God, never ask for anything from him, just be satisfied with whatever he gives you. Then see his play, your fortunes will change. Along with wealth, it is important to have "satisfaction" in life..!!
