The exhausted mother
Once upon a time, there was an
exhausted mother.
Mother spent each and
every day providing for the needs of her
family.
She took care of everything:
preparing children for school, setting
the table for breakfast, making sure
everything was clean and tidy ... and in
addition to all that, worked full time
at a bookstore to provide for the
family.
Many nights she would go to bed so
tired and next day wouldn't even
remember falling asleep. In the
mornings, she would wake torn away from
her deep dreams she wanted to continue
in.
But one morning, while she slept,
mother felt there was something
different.
The alarm clock seemed nicer, as if to
wake her gently. When she got up, a warm
bath was waiting for her in the
bathroom; steam fogged the mirror from
the hot, strawberry scented bath that
had been run for her. Rose petals were
floating in her bath like lily pads for
ladies.
After her heavenly bath, a clean and
warm a cotton towel was ready for her,
along with a sumptuous soft and new
bathrobe.
When she reached the kitchen, the
children were all dressed up and calm
while her husband; busy at the stove.
Toast, juice, fresh fruit, delicious
cakes and pastries... She could not
believe it!
Her entire family wished her in
harmony a "Happy Mother's Day!" and gave
her a huge bouquet of colorful roses and
little gifts made by the children.
"We can do what you want today, it's
your day, and we want you to know how
important you are to us and how much we
love you!"
Her heart swelled with gratitude,
mother took all her children and her
husband in her arms and told them how
much she loved them and felt the strong
love between them. She felt an infinite
amount of energy.
Since that day, when she feels
exhausted, mother has only to relive
this scene and always regains that
infinite energy coming from love.
Happy Mother's Day!
Mothers are fairies that look to those
they love and fulfill all their good
wishes with mountains of love.
