DAUGHTERS

A pregnant woman asks her husband, “What do you want, a son or a daughter?”

The husband replies, “If it’s a son, I’ll teach him math, exercise with him, teach him to hunt, and so much more.”

The woman, laughing, asks, “And if it’s a daughter?”

The husband smiles and says, “If it’s a daughter, I won’t need to teach her anything. She’ll teach me everything: how to dress, how to eat, what to say, and what not to say. Soon, she’ll become like a second mother to me. And without doing anything special, she’ll always see me as her hero. When I say ‘no,’ she’ll understand. She’ll always compare her future husband to me. No matter how old she gets, she’ll want me to love her like my little princess. She’ll fight the world for me, and if anyone hurts me, she’ll never forgive them.”

The woman, slightly surprised, asks, “Do you mean your daughter will do all this, but a son won’t?”

The husband says, “No, no! My son can do all this too, but he’ll need time to learn. Daughters, on the other hand, are born with these qualities. Being a daughter’s father is a true matter of pride for any man.”

The woman then says, “But she won’t always stay with us.”

The husband gently replies, “Yes, but we’ll always live in her heart, wherever she goes.”

Daughters are truly angels… born with unconditional love and care, forever.

This piece is dedicated to all the fortunate parents blessed with daughters.
