MEMES OF THE DAY ( 31-01-2024 )

LEARN TO CONTROL ANY SITUATION

1. When someone answers your questions partially, wait. Don't interrupt. Chances are high that they will complete the answer when you say nothing.

2. When you want to get something from someone, frame it as an offer/opportunity instead of a request. Anyone will be ready to accept an offer/opportunity.

3. When you meet people, notice their eye color while you smile at them. Don't mention anything about it. It's a good way to make sure that you really look them in the eyes.

4. A person's name is the sweetest sound in the world to that person. To make a person feel very special, remember and repeat their name.

5. Have zero expectations when you are first trying something new, it prevents disappointment.

6. To judge a person's character, notice the way they treat people - who can't do anything for them.

7. After you state your position in a negotiation. Wait for a while. If you continue to speak, you are not speaking in your favour.

8. Chewing gum while doing nerve-racking things calm your brain.

9. When you are learning something, teach someone about it. You will remember it easily and explore more in the process of teaching.

10.Most people's favourite subject to talk about is themselves. If you don't know what to talk about, or have awkward silence, just ask them questions.

11. Emotional expression causes emotion. If you force yourself to smile, your mood will actually improve.

12. Stand up straight. It makes you look more confident and you will actually feel more confident.

13. With kids, frame things in a way that always gives them a choice. It makes them feel like they are in control. For eg, "Do you want to wear red shirt or blue shirt?" Either way, they know it's time to put on a shirt.

14. When asking for favours use the word "because. 'No matter how simple the reason. The word "because." makes them think it must be okay because there is a reason.

SOLAR SYSTEM

The solar system has one star, eight planets, five officially recognized dwarf planets, at least 290 moons, more than 1.3 million asteroids, and about 3,900 comets. It is located in an outer spiral arm of the Milky Way galaxy called the Orion Arm, or Orion Spur. Our solar system orbits the center of the galaxy at about 515,000 mph (828,000 kph). It takes about 230 million years to complete one orbit around the galactic center.

We call it the solar system because it is made up of our star, the Sun, and everything bound to it by gravity – the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune; dwarf planets Pluto, Ceres, Makemake, Haumea, and Eris – along with hundreds of moons; and millions of asteroids, comets, and meteoroids. Our solar system is the only one we know of that has a planet that supports life. So far, we only know of life on Earth, but we’re looking for life on other worlds

WHEN LIFE IS GOING TOUGH, CALM YOURSELF

1. Walk: Walking helps clear your mind. It offers you a different perspective.

2. Indulge: Take a day off to spend a whole day doing exactly what you want. Eat what you want. Watch series. Go wild.

3. Be Generous: Give something to a total stranger. Acts of giving make us feel warm and fuzzy inside.

4. Sit in a coffee shop or a busy street and soak up your surroundings. You don't have to talk to people.

5. Educate yourself: Research what it is you are experiencing. Arm yourself with knowledge and the resources to tackle the problems head on.

6. Preparation: Write the day's to-do list the evening before.

7. Strengths: Write down a list of 20 of your strengths. (good communicator, empathetic etc.)

8. Keep going forward: Keep taking small steps, no matter what. Being stagnant doesn't serve you.

9. Re-visit an old hobby: If you don't have one, create one. Paint. Read. Sculpt. Gardening.

10. Prioritize: Decide what's important right now. Say no to extra obligations.

11. Sleep: Get enough rest. Sleep 7-9 hours each night.

12. Be silly: Do something that you did as a child. Don't take life too seriously.

13. Cry: Release all that emotion. You will feel better.

14. Check your self-talk: Negative self-talk does not serve you.

15. Journal: Develop a habit of journaling. This will help free your mind.

16. Remind yourself of the value you have to offer.

We are often so good at something, that it becomes second nature. We don't recognize that it's something other people can't easily do.

Recognize that value

The Prophet, The Madman, Broken Wings.

"You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth."

"நீங்கள் ஒரு வில் போல. அதிலிருந்து உங்கள் பிள்ளைகள் ஏவப்படும் உயிருள்ள கணைகள்." (அவர்கள் தங்கள் இலக்குகளுடன் வருபவர்கள் என தொடர்கிறார்.)

PAIN & SADNESS

Pain and sadness is there because of ignorance.

  • Our ignorance is our world.
  • Our desires are worth according to us.
  • Our ego is important.
  • We don't care how this existence wants us to go, instead we want life should go according to us.

One is bound to suffer if gyaan doesn't rise within us.

Those who have become Gyaani they know there is no suffering in life.

AGE OF UNIVERSE

Bold new study may change everything we thought we knew about how old the universe is

By Joshua Hawkins

A new study could challenge our current understanding of the universe’s age. According to a new study published in Nature Astronomy, the universe may not actually be 13.8 billion years old, as researchers previously estimated.

The current estimate of the universe’s age is based on what we call the Standard Model of cosmology. This model describes a flat universe that is dominated not just by dark energy, but also by dark matter. Further, it says that the universe is expanding at an unknown accelerating rate.

While astronomers have used the Standard Model of cosmology for many things, including estimating the universe’s age, it has recently begun to cause some mismatches with measurements scientists took of the motions of different pairs of galaxies. According to the new study, these measurements and the Standard Model just don’t match up.

As such, some scientists have begun to question the validity of the Standard Model altogether. This, of course, isn’t the first time that new measurements have challenged what we know. In fact, scientific history is all about disproving what was once believed to be truth and reality. As such, the cosmos are very likely to hold secrets that would figuratively blow our minds.

The Thesan Project

The Thesan Project looks at how the universe evolved to reach the point we are at now.

To discover just how off the Standard Model might be from depicting the universe’s age, Guo Qi and several other astronomers worked together to study pairs of satellites in different galaxy groups. These groups are essentially small collections of galaxies, and they allow us to see how those galaxies move and thus get an idea of how the universe might be expanding.

Qi’s team took things a step further, though, and focused on the most massive galaxies in each group and then measured how the satellite galaxies on either side moved around them. They found that a small fraction of these satellites were actually moving counter-rotationally to the larger galaxy. Further, that amount was larger than the simulations had accounted for originally.

This kind of behavior makes sense if the galaxies have just fallen into orbit around the larger galaxy. However, for galaxies that have been grouped for much longer, it does raise some questions about how the Standard Model is currently set up, as the number of satellites in a co-rotational orbit should be smaller.

Because of these findings, Qi and his team say that the findings suggest the universe may, in fact, be younger than we previously believed. However, they say that there is still too much leeway in the motions seen between the satellite pairs to determine just how much younger it is.

Perhaps James Webb and other satellites can help provide more observational data. For now, at least, it leaves us with an intriguing thought about our current model of the universe and just how accurate it might be. We’ve also seen some scientists suggest the universe may be older than we thought, too, so this certainly leaves some room for questions

TRAGUS ( PART OF EARLOBE )

What do you know that most people don’t?

Do you know what is this small pointed eminence of the external ear situated in front of the ear and what its role in our body ??

You may think it's the most useless part of our body. But it's not.

It plays an important role at our listening point. It aids in collecting sounds from behind.

These sounds are delayed more than sounds arriving from the front, assisting the brain to sense front vs. rear sound sources.

Even it has a name also and its name is ‘Tragus'

NEW GALAXY CLOSEST TO MILKY WAY

the galaxies closest to the Milky Way.

New observations of the Small Magellanic Cloud show that two galaxies may actually have been ‘disguised’ as one A new study shows that one of the galaxies closest to the Milky Way is hiding a second galaxy. Observations of the Small Magellanic Cloud suggest that there may actually be two galaxies.

The Small Magellanic Cloud is a nearby galaxy well known to astronomers. That’s what they thought. A new study suggests that the Milky Way’s satellite galaxy, located about 199,000 light-years from Earth, holds secrets. It’s actually two galaxies in a row. To make this discovery, a team led by astronomer Claire Murray studied the movement of gas clouds in the Small Magellanic Cloud and the young stars that form within them. They discovered that this small galaxy, which is about 18,900 light-years wide (less than one-fifth the width of the Milky Way), is home to two distinct “star nurseries” thousands of times apart.

A team of Dutch and German scientists analyzed LOFAR data and discovered that the Andromeda galaxy has an unusual structure called a “galactic tail.” According to scientists, this structure could be the result of a collision between the Andromeda galaxy and another galaxy currently hiding behind it. If true, such a discovery could have major implications for our understanding of galaxy formation and evolution. Until now, it was thought that galaxies formed primarily in isolated environments, but the discovery of a second galaxy in the Andromeda galaxy suggests that collisions are occurring more frequently than previously thought. It may be suggested

INTRIGUING PARALLELS BETWEEN RAMAYAN & MAHABHARAT

The Ramayana and Mahabharata, two of the greatest epics in Hindu mythology, share intriguing parallels and coincidences that captivate the imagination. Here's an engaging exploration of the connections between these ancient tales:

Exile and Quests:

  • Both epics feature protagonists who undergo exile. Rama, in the Ramayana, spends fourteen years in the forest, while the Pandavas in the Mahabharata endure a twelve-year exile. Both periods involve numerous adventures and challenges.
  1. Divine Weapons:Rama wields the powerful bow given by Lord Shiva, and Arjuna, a key character in the Mahabharata, possesses the divine Gandiva bow. Both bows play pivotal roles in significant events, symbolizing divine strength.
  2. Monkey and Ape Allies:Hanuman, the devoted ally of Rama, and the vanara (monkey) army draw parallels with the monkey troops allied with the Pandavas in the Mahabharata. Hanuman and Bhima, both possessing immense strength, share similarities in their heroic deeds.
  3. Guiding Companions:In the Ramayana, Jatayu, the noble eagle, supports Rama's quest. In a parallel narrative, the Mahabharata introduces Vidura, a wise counselor, providing sagacious guidance to the Kauravas.
  4. Loyalty and Brotherhood:The unwavering loyalty of Lakshmana towards Rama echoes the loyalty of Arjuna and Bhima towards their eldest brother, Yudhishthira, in the Mahabharata. Brotherhood is a central theme in both epics.
  5. Kidnapping of Women:Sita's abduction by Ravana in the Ramayana and the attempted disrobing of Draupadi in the Mahabharata both involve heinous acts against virtuous women, leading to significant consequences.
  6. Cunning Strategies:The Mahabharata's Kurukshetra War and the Ramayana's battles against Ravana showcase strategic warfare and the use of clever tactics. Arjuna's role in the Kurukshetra War is often likened to Rama's battle against Ravana.
  7. Divine Intervention:Both epics involve divine beings intervening in mortal affairs. Lord Krishna, a key figure in the Mahabharata, serves as a guide to the Pandavas, while Lord Rama receives guidance from sage Vishwamitra and Lord Hanuman.
  8. Episodes of Disguise:The Mahabharata has the episode of Arjuna disguising himself as Brihannala during the Pandavas' one-year incognito exile. Similarly, Lord Rama and Lakshmana disguise themselves during their time in the forest.
  9. Mysterious Weapons:The Ramayana mentions the Brahmastra, a divine weapon used by Rama, and the Mahabharata features various celestial weapons, including the Brahmastra wielded by Arjuna.

These intriguing coincidences and parallels between the Ramayana and Mahabharata not only add depth to the narratives but also reflect the timeless themes of righteousness, duty, loyalty, and the eternal struggle between good and evil in Hindu mythology. The interconnectedness of these epics serves as a testament to the rich tapestry of stories that form the cultural and spiritual heritage of India.

GROWTH

Embracing challenges and overcoming adversity is essential for personal growth. Without the crucible of suffering, we might never discover our true strength and potential. In navigating difficulties, we not only find our limits but also redefine them, unlocking the profound journey to self-discovery.
