HOW WERE STARS AND PLANETS FORMED IN THE MILKY WAY

First of all, stars or planets in Milkyway were formed the same way they were formed at any other point in the universe

Researchers believe that our universe began with the Big Bang about 13 billion years ago, and that soon after that event, matter began to form as small dust grains and gases. The first stars appeared about one hundred million years after the big bang.

As for planets

, one of the oldest known planetary systems is around a star called HIP 11952, which is estimated to be 12.8 billion years old. This system, which includes two Jupiter-sized planets, appears to be a relic from the extremely early universe.

Interstellar Clouds: Everything begins with interstellar molecular clouds, which are rich in hydrogen and dust1. These clouds are cold and start to collapse under the force of gravity.

Protostars: As the gas gets compressed, its temperature increases and the dust cloud begins to spin. This leads to the formation of a protostar at the center of this spinning dust cloud.

Star Birth: Nuclear fusion starts, and a star is born. During this process, the star emits powerful solar wind and bursts of radiation.

Protoplanetary Disk: The remaining matter forms a spinning disk around the star. This is known as a protoplanetary disk.

Planet Formation: The leftover gas and dust inside that protoplanetary disk become the ingredients for planet formation. Material left over from the star’s formation collapses into protoplanets.

Evolution: Stars and planets continue to evolve over billions of years. For instance, our own Sun and Earth have been around for about 4.6 billion years!
