EQUANIMITY MEDITATION ( UPEKKHA )
Understanding Upekkha Meditation
Upekkha, synonymous with equanimity, is not merely about staying calm in the face of adversity but fostering a profound sense of balance and impartiality. The practice involves training the mind to observe experiences without clinging to the pleasant or resisting the unpleasant, paving the way for a serene and steady state of being.
Procedures of Upekkha Meditation:
- Set the Stage: Begin by creating a conducive environment. Find a quiet and comfortable space where you won't be disturbed. Sit in a relaxed but alert posture, ensuring your back is straight and your hands rest comfortably on your lap.
- Mindful Breathing: Initiate the meditation by focusing on your breath. Breathe naturally and bring your attention to the sensations of inhalation and exhalation. The breath serves as an anchor, grounding you in the present moment.
- Loving-Kindness Seed: Upekkha meditation often incorporates elements of loving-kindness (Metta) meditation. Start by directing feelings of love and goodwill towards yourself. Envision a seed of compassion growing within you, gradually expanding to encompass others.
- Expansion of Awareness: Broaden your awareness to include different aspects of your life—relationships, work, and personal experiences. Observe these aspects with a balanced and impartial mind, acknowledging both the positive and negative without attachment.
- Contemplation on Equanimity: Delve into contemplative practices that focus on the nature of equanimity. Recognize the impermanence of all things and the inevitability of change. This awareness helps loosen the grip of attachment and aversion.
- Cultivating Equanimity Towards Emotions: As you progress, turn your attention inward to observe your emotions. Approach both joy and sorrow with equanimity, recognizing that they, too, are transient experiences. Allow emotions to arise and pass without being swept away by their intensity.
- Expanding Compassion: Extend your practice of equanimity by cultivating compassion for others. Envision individuals in your life—loved ones, acquaintances, and even those with whom you may have conflicts. Wish them well and release any judgments or biases.
- Closing with Gratitude: Conclude the meditation by expressing gratitude for the practice and the insights gained. Recognize the potential for continued growth and a deepening sense of equanimity in your daily life.
Benefits of Upekkha Meditation:
- Enhanced Emotional Resilience: Develop the ability to navigate life's challenges with a calm and balanced mind.
- Improved Interpersonal Relationships: Foster understanding and compassion in your interactions with others.
- Stress Reduction: Mitigate the impact of stressors by approaching situations with equanimity.
- Deepened Mindfulness: Cultivate a non-judgmental awareness of the present moment, fostering a profound connection with yourself and the world around you.
Upekkha meditation is a transformative journey towards inner tranquility. By integrating these procedures into your daily life, you can embark on a path of self-discovery and cultivate the profound peace that arises from embracing each moment with equanimity.
SUPERNOVA
James Webb discovers second supernova in galaxy MRG-M0138
In November 2023, the James Webb Space Telescope observed the giant galaxy cluster MACS J0138.0-2155. Gravitational lensing causes a distant galaxy called MRG-M0138 to appear distorted. In addition to the distortion and expansion of distant galaxies, the gravitational lensing effect caused by MACS J0138 produces his five different images of MRG-M0138. In 2019, astronomers announced a surprising discovery. MRG-M0138 experienced an internal stellar explosion, or supernova, as seen in his 2016 image from NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope.
Another team of astronomers examined Web 2023 images and found that a second supernova erupted in the same galaxy seven years later. Justin Pirrell (NASA scientist) and Andrew Newman (staff astronomer at Carnegie Scientific Observatory) tell us more about this discovery. “When a supernova explodes behind a gravitational lens, its light follows many different paths to reach Earth. You can compare it to a train.”
Each train follows a different route, with different travel times and terrain, so the trains do not arrive at their destination at the same time. ” By measuring differences in the timing of supernova images, we can measure the history of the universe’s expansion rate, known as the Hubble constant, a major problem in cosmology today. “The problem is that these repeatedly photographed supernovae are extremely rare, with fewer than a dozen ever discovered.
Among this small club, MRG-M0138’s 2016 supernova called Requiem stood out for several reasons. First, it was 10 billion light years away. Second, the supernova was probably the same type (Ia) used as a “standard candle” for measuring distances in the universe. ”
We discovered a second gravitational lensing supernova, Supernova Encore, in the same galaxy as Requiem. Encore was discovered by chance, and we are currently actively monitoring this supernova. » “Using Webb images, we measure and confirm the Hubble constant based on these multiple images of supernovae. Encore is confirmed to be a standard candle or type Ia supernova.” “Supernovae are generally Although unpredictable, in this case we know when and where we will see the final appearances of Requiem and Encore. Infrared observations around 2035 will provide precise new measurements of the Hubble constant.”

THE RIGHT SPIRITUAL PATH
The moment we identify with something here duality takes place.
For example: when somebody enters into spiritual life person thinks itself special, person thinks I am moving towards a spiritual life. Now person has divided the life, and considering itself special with spiritual life. Life itself is completed and one has to live life to it's fullest.
Walking on spiritual path, doesn't makes you spiritual or special. Spirituality simply means living an authentic life, dedicating itself completely to the truth.
In the same way, there is no wrong or right path, your walk is important, living an authentic life is important, speaking truth is important, imbibing the truth is important. Freedom, love, Truth, liberation.
Live everyday as it is last day.
Give Freedom, live in freedom.
Love doesn't matter who is there enemy or friend, just love.
Liberation comes to you then.

- When you say, "I'm sorry", look the person in the eye.
- Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.
- Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.
- When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps.
- Don't judge people by their looks.
- When you lose, don't lose the lesson.
- Spend some time alone.
- If you make a lot of money, put it to use helping others while you are living. That is wealth's greatest satisfaction.

WHY DOES GOD NEVER SOLVE OUR PROBLEMS?
God never solves anyone’s problems because God has never created any problem for anyone at the first place. It’s only us who keep on creating problems for ourselves and then instead of realising our past mistakes and correcting them, we look for miraculous solutions, hand of God.
God doesn't interfere in any of our affairs. God has created a system based upon karma and that runs perfectly. The system registers each and every karma of every being on this planet and gives its result. No one can play around with this system.
Sometimes people think that we have not done any wrong to anyone but still we are facing enormous problems. It may be right also but people can only think of this life of theirs because of their limited wisdom. The system contains the data of all your lives and it gives the result of our karmas from our past lives also. For example some people are born with terminal diseases. In this life they had no control over it but still it happened to them. It is simply because of their past karmas.
Now the question arises that why does this system carry forward karmas beyond our current lives? The simple answer is because the burden of our past karmas is so huge that we can not handle it’s after results in just one lifetime. For example suppose a person has killed three people in his one lifetime. Now the karma says that he will be killed at the hand of each of these three people. As we all know that one can only be killed once in a lifetime so it will take three lives to him to get this karma cleared. I have given only one example here but the same theory applies to each and every karma of ours.
This theory of God’s interference in anyone’s karmas in lieu of a few praises is a blatant lie. If God does so then God becomes partial. God is not partial in anyway whatsoever. Neither God helps self assumed good doers or punishes so called wrong doers. For God there is nothing right or wrong in any manner whatsoever. These definitions of right and wrong have been created by people and they keep on changing with time. What may seem inhuman to someone today may have been a popular and accepted norm of the past. The system doesn't register karmas segregated as good karma and bad karma, system simply registers the karma and gives its result.
So instead of running after God or wasting your time in trying to bribe the God, try to find the reason of your suffering. Accept your mistakes and correct them. That is the only way out.
PSYCHIC KNOTS
When the first psychic knot (Brahma Granthi) opens, tremendous amount of energy is released, you feel more alive, you want to make love, suddenly you find you have so many things to do in life, you feel alive.
After this stage, you enter in dark night of the soul where the difficulties arises as ego is dissolving here you need a master. Once you enter in dark night of the soul, going out is very difficult. If you cross this, new life is waiting for you and that's your new birth.
When the second psychic knot (Vishnu Granthi) opens, you realize the love and become compassionate towards whole existence. You are in love with the whole cosmos.
When the Third psychic knot (Rudra Granthi) opens, you realize the non-dual nature of yours. The kama is destroyed and third eye is opened. For the first time, you can see beyond duality, and your ability to see life in a different dimension is also opened.
CONSTANT HAPPINESS/BLISSFULNESS
There is no such State of constant happiness or blissfulness.
Happiness, sadness, anxiety, depression, are all part of life and it happens everyday but to “No-one". All these happens to life itself.
But the problem with human's is that he or she believes there is a “personal self” who is suffering.
Infact there is not ‘i’ , no “person” who is suffering. All is happening to “no-one”.
WHY COLDER WHEN YOU GO UP?
Little Tahoma Peak
Do you understand how far the Sun is from Earth?
So no, it's not because you're getting closer to the Sun.
The Sun is like 150 million kilometers away from us, so a few kilometers up or down won't make much difference.
The real reason is that the air pressure drops as you go higher, and that makes the air expand and cool down.
It's like when you let some air out of a tire, it feels cold, you know?
The air at the ground level is heated by the Earth, which absorbs the Sun's rays. But as the air rises, it loses contact with the warm ground and cools off.
That's why the mountains are always snowy, even in summer.
You might be talking about the stratosphere.
In the stratosphere, there's a gas called ozone, which absorbs some of the Sun's ultraviolet light and heats up.
So in the stratosphere, the temperature actually increases with height, instead of decreasing.
The stratosphere starts at about 10 kilometers above sea level, and goes up to about 50 kilometers.
But, the higher you go the lower the temp, and it has nothing to to do with getting closer to the Sun.
