A young man comes to the priest and says: - Father, I will not go to Church anymore!
The priest replied: - But why?
The young man replied: - I see the sister who speaks badly of another sister; the brother who spends his time looking at the girls; the singing group that sings half-heartedly; the people who look at their cell phones during mass; the mothers who let their children run around the church. Among so many other bad things that I see happening in the church.
The priest said to him: - Very well, but first I want you to do me a favor: take a glass full of water and walk around the church three times without spilling a drop of water on the floor. After that, you may not return to the church.
And the young man thought: very easy. And he made three turns as his father asked him. When he finished he said: - Ready, father.
And the priest answered: - When you were walking around, did you see the sister talking badly about the other one? The young man: - No. - Did you see people complaining to each other? The young man: - No. - Did you see anyone looking at their cell phone? The young man: - No.
Do you know why? You were concentrating on the glass so as not to spill the water.
The same thing happens in our lives. When we focus on what the priest says, we will not have time to see the mistakes of the people.
Moral:
He who lives pending on the lives of others is because he is not pending on his own life.
