The Milky Way is our galaxy and we can see it with the naked eye as a long whitish spot that crosses the entire sky. However, if we get closer, thanks to telescopes, what we observe is completely different. Millions and millions of stars. A carpet of stars.
In this photo, which is only a small portion of the Milky Way, every tiny bright dot is a star. You can even count 250 million of them and they are only a fraction of the total.
Our entire galaxy contains 100 to 400 billion of them and is only one of the 100 billion galaxies in the Universe. And the planets? There are many more.
Now the question is, do any of you really think about traveling to the only planet that hosts life?
The Universe is likely teeming with life. It could be in there somewhere!
