In Hindu mythology, the Ashwini Kumars (also spelled Ashvins or Ashwins) are twin deities and celestial physicians. They are considered the divine healers and doctors of the gods. The Ashwini Kumars are often depicted as handsome young men riding golden chariots pulled by horses.

According to Hindu mythology, the Ashwini Kumars are the sons of the sage Kashyapa and his wife Aditi. They are regarded as demigods and are among the Adityas, the children of Aditi. In some accounts, their mother is also mentioned as Sangya or Saranya.

The Ashwini Kumars are known for their exceptional medical skills and their ability to bring swift healing and rejuvenation. They possess the power to cure diseases, grant health, and restore vitality. They are associated with herbs, medicines, and remedies. In Hindu scriptures, they are often called upon for healing and assistance in times of illness or distress.

Apart from their healing abilities, the Ashwini Kumars are also recognized as horsemen and are believed to be skilled in horsemanship. They are sometimes associated with the dawn and are considered the bringers of light and new beginnings.

In Hindu mythology, the Ashwini Kumars hold a significant place and are revered for their benevolence, healing prowess, and association with the realms of medicine and rejuvenation.
