100000 GALAXIES IN A SINGLE IMAGE

The first image you are seeing, just released by the brand new Euclid space telescope of ESA, shows us over 100,000 galaxies.

Yes, you read that right, those dots are not stars but galaxies!

The light from the furthest ones has traveled a good 10 billion years before reaching us, and your eyes are among the first to gaze upon their beauty.

The second image is a view of the very famous Horsehead Nebula with extraordinary detail.

And then there's the galaxy IC 342

and the globular cluster NGC 6397.
