Nasa's James Webb Space Telescope has captured a young star about 1,000 light years away from Earth.
The striking image of the cosmic spectacle, called Herbig-Haro 211, shows jets of gases released by the newborn star at supersonic speed.
"Earlier observations revealed giant bow shocks moving away from us (north-west) and moving towards us (south-east)," Nasa said.
